what's happening

​In the spirit of ongoing transformation, accessibility, and inclusion, Heron's Bridge/Valley Women's Martial Arts offers introductory and ongoing integrative arts programs from a feminist social justice perspective. Classes, workshops, and special events for all ages include instruction in martial arts, movement meditation, empowerment skills, self-protection and self-care strategies, healing and peace-building methods, interpretive dance, poetry, and more. HB/VWMA welcomes participants of any gender, physical/mental ability, race, creed, ethnicity, socio-economic background, sexual orientation, and body size. Program fees are on a sliding scale basis. There is an annual membership fee due each autumn:  $50/individual.  $75/family.


Experienced certified instructors conduct classes, workshops, special events, and private/semi-private lessons by arrangement at Heron's Bridge/VWMA, One Cottage St. #319, Easthampton, and at schools, social service agencies, community centers, medical facilities, arts organizations, and other venues.
